We have talked about the benefits of a community. How powerful surrounding ourselves with a positive, supportive group can be. But how about the reasons why we might be holding back from doing so?
What holds us back from joining a community?
- feeling you may be judged
- feeling you are not ready for the commitment
- feeling you may let others down
But here is the thing. The purpose of being a part of a supportive community is not so we can “keep up” with each other. It also does not mean that everyone who is involved within a community needs to be participating in the same way. Our visions are all very different. We are all very different. When we join together and plant our roots in a community, we support each other in that journey towards our visions. No matter how unique those journeys may be. That diversity is the beauty of a community. And that is what makes a community strong.
A cord of three strands is not easily broken.
